About the Job

The Legal Education Foundation is looking to appoint a new governor with experience in social welfare law or the legal advice sector.
The Legal Education Foundation, a Royal Charter charity, became a foundation in late 2012 following the sale of The College of Law. The Object of the Foundation is “to promote the advancement of legal education and the study of law in all its branches”.

As a result of a skills audit, it has been identified that the governing board would benefit from a further person who has extensive knowledge and experience of social welfare law and/or legal advice centre management.
Candidates must be solicitors or barristers.
The Foundation is particularly interested in receiving applications from individuals with experience at national level and in initiatives that have been of benefit to those on low incomes.
