General Training and Events Information
How to book
LAG uses Eventbrite for all course and conference bookings.
You can access the Eventbrite booking page via our website by selecting the training/ events tab on our website. Select the course you’re interested in and follow the links.
All bookings via Eventbrite require payment by card (processed by Eventbrite Payment Processing).
In the event that Eventbrite is unable to process your card payment online, please call us on 0207 833 2931.
LAG may offer the option of invoicing organisations. This is discretionary. Please email email@example.com.
Once you have booked your place via Eventbrite, a standard Eventbrite tax invoice and confirmation of booking/ ticket will be emailed to each delegate. Please bring a copy of your ticket for registration on the day.
Please note that you can log into your Eventbrite account should you ever need another copy of your tax invoice/ ticket.
Training courses are presented in accessible venues with induction loop systems and sign language interpreters if required. When possible, content will be provided in advance of an event. Please confirm any dietary or accessibility requirements on the Eventbrite booking form. Every effort will be made to ensure your needs, as requested, are met.
These will be given to delegates on the day of the course.
Course fees include refreshments and sandwich lunch for full-day courses (unless indicated otherwise). LAG accepts no liability if lunch cannot be provided due to circumstances beyond our control.
LAG offers a number of booking rates via Eventbrite, including concessionary rates for students and unwaged individuals. If you're unsure of which ticket to purchase, please email firstname.lastname@example.org regarding your employment/ student status and any other information you think relevant.
Cancellation of a Course
LAG reserves the right to vary or cancel a course where necessary, and as much notice as possible will be given to delegates. Where a course is cancelled, LAG will automatically make a full refund, but disclaims any further liability.
Cancellation of a Course Booking
All cancellations must be made in writing. Cancellations with more than 30 days notice, will receive a full refund. Please note that if cancellation occurs up to 15 days before the course start date (but less than 30 days), LAG will charge an administration fee of 15%+ VAT on the net booking rate selected. If cancellation occurs 14 days or less before the course start date, the full course fee + VAT is payable/ non-refundable.
LAG accept substitute delegates free of charge if the request is made in writing - please email email@example.com with as much notice as possible.
LAG member and Legal Action subscriber discount
A 10% discount is available to individual subscribers/ members paying their own course fee, or a subscriber/ member organisation booking places for employees. Continuing Professional Development
LAG is accredited with the Law Society and the Bar Council as a provider of Continuing Professional Development.
Courses are graded as set out below:
B - basic/introductory
I - intermediate
A - advanced
U - updating course
S - suitable for all levels
Most courses are accredited as part of the Bar Council's Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Programme, unless otherwise specified.
The Eventbrite booking form (and invoices issued at LAG's discretion) constitutes a legally binding contract. The delegate and their firm or organisation are jointly and severally liable for the course fee plus VAT. In the event that it becomes necessary for LAG to change the content and timing of the course/s, trainers, date or the venue, as much notice as possible will be given to delegates.
In the unlikely event of a course being cancelled, LAG will automatically make a full refund of any fees paid, but disclaim any further liability.

If you wish to claim course attendance as part of your Continuing Professional Development, please ensure you sign the registration form when you arrive for your course.
