Use it or lose it: children and legal aid
This month’s issue of Legal Action comes with a special supplement on the availability of legal aid for cases involving children. Cuts to the scope of legal aid have had a dreadful impact on the ability of many vulnerable groups, including children, to enforce their rights. Our supplement is an attempt to cover all of the areas of law remaining in scope for legal aid in children cases. LAG hopes it will encourage practitioners in ensuring that children are not excluded from legal help when they need it.
