Charities slam budget ‘failings’
Two leading rights charities, Citizens Advice and the Child Poverty Action Group (CPAG), have criticised the government’s March budget for failing to help those most in need.
Citizens Advice said that the people ‘on the lowest incomes and those without savings benefited least from the budget’.
Alison Garnham the chief executive of CPAG, said it was a ‘see no poverty, hear no poverty’ budget, saying that the government ‘continues to leave children and the low paid behind’.
