The LSC have just announced a tender round, for contracts starting 1st April, for firms that were unsuccessful in last year's family and housing tender round. Contracts will be for licensed work only, so successful bidders will not be able to do Legal Help work. This is a negotiated solution between the LSC and representative bodies in an attempt to to head off litigation from unsuccessful bidders; whether it achieves that aim remains to be seen.
