The LAA have published their internal handbook (PDF) for staff dealing with civil legal aid cases. It contains detailed statements of their approach to particular issues and links to other materials. It is well worth looking at, both to ensure your applications and claims are less likely to be rejected, but also to help with appeals as necessary.
