A march is being organised to take place in London on the first day of Donald Trump’s presidency, 21 January 2017. The event is planned to start near Hyde Park at 12 noon and arrive at Trafalgar Square to coincide with the start of a march in Washington. The organisers of the march say they wish to ‘unite in London in solidarity with the Women’s March on Washington DC … to resist and make our voices heard’.
The Washington march has been organised via digital media in response to Trump’s derogatory comments during the presidential election campaign aimed at women and minority groups.
